Quick Overview
For Jim Little Wounded, drums represent the heartbeat of the Nation and he has designed this drum to represent a fearless leader as he gets ready for battle - the double pipe design is reserved only for a leader.
Description
Before an important battle, the pipe would be passed around to show the warriors conviction for following this leader into battle and accepting whatever the outcome was.

This design has been painted on a separate piece of leather and later attached to the drum body. The drum also features a painted feather fan design on top of the drum.

The drum is further embellished with feather fluffs, tin cones, glass beads and brass tacks.
