Welcome Lakota Nation Invitational Participants

Every year I think this out loud "Let's get ready to rumble!", which is a bit much for a kids tournament event but the excitement is still the same, good games, great sportsmanship, the best competition. This year's Lakota Nation Invitational or LNI promises to be every bit as exciting as the previous years and this, the 39th, will be memorable for everyone involved.

This year's event has some very special features, for instance, come meet Samantha Tucker (Oglala|Lakota) on December 18th, not only does she hail from Indian country but she is also an Air Force veteran and the 1st ever U.S. female mouth tab Para-Archer to chase the Paralympic Dream, it's a tough road but she see's this has the natural way to experience life, with everything you have.

Another special visitor comes all the way from Sacramento, CA. to compete in the LNI wrestling tournament, the Lakota Nation Invitational welcomes Dorian Wilkie (Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe). Dorian has special permission from his school district to come and wrestle in the land of his ancestors. He is a junior at Capital Christian High School, Sacramento, CA., captain of his wrestling team, golfer, football player and baseball player. His mother is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and she competed in the All-Indian Girls Basketball Tournament.

Welcome Samantha and Dorian and all of the kids along with their family and friends.

Prairie Edge and the Sioux Trading Post are proud supporters of this event and here at the store we are offering a Sale Table in Prairie Edge Trading, 15% off all finished goods in the Sioux Trading Post, our Artists of the Black Hills Miniature Show is still being featured in the Fine Art Gallery and don't forget to register for our $1,000.00 gift card giveaway, you do not need to be present to win but you do have to be in-house to register.
