Quick Overview
This exquisite spoon honors the owner's spirit helper, the buffalo, and is made from the horn cover of a steer.
Description
The tip of the handle features a buffalo effigy with large horns, beaded eyes, and carved details.

The handle of the spoon is embellished with quillwork, a string of beads, dangles, and a circular cut out. The quilled detail around the handle is done using the straight quilling technique with blue, red, and yellow designs on a white background. A long dangle quilled red, yellow, and blue is finished with a deer toe, tin cones, and red dyed horse hair; the other is shorter and decorated with glass pony beads and a deer toe.

The generous ladle form maintains the natural ridged texture of the steer horn cover.
