Quick Overview
This feather headdress features a single trail of feathers down the back of the piece and a frontal beaded band.
Description
The 64 imitation Eagle body feathers included in this piece are tipped with white rabbit fur and copper colored horse hair dangles. They are individually wrapped in red wool trade cloth, and secured with imitation sinew. At the bottom of this single strip of feathers is an abalone shell with a leather tie.

The trailer is made of a long length of red wool trade cloth with a yellow and navy selvage edge. The cut edges of the trade cloth are finished with yellow cotton fabric.

Feather fluffs run along the bottom inner and outer edge of the main feathers. The front edge is adorned with a row of brass bells.

A strip of beadwork featuring a beaded "hills" design in navy and turquoise on a white background is attached to the front of the head piece. It is edged with tiny blue Czech glass beads.

Red and blue ribbons attached to an abalone shell disc hang from each side of the beaded strip.

The headdress is secured with a leather lacing chin strap.
The piece is signed by the artist.
