Quick Overview
Featuring a historically correct Plains Indian design, this exquisite warbonnet by artist O.J. Laier III has a beautiful, full crown of feathers and a quilled band.
Description
The headdress has a halo of 32 imitation eagle feathers decorated with white turkey fluffs and horse hair dangles at their tips and feather fluffs around their base. The bottom of each feather is finished with strips of red wool trade cloth secured with imitation sinew; they are attached to the domed felt cap with a rawhide strip.

The front of the warbonnet showcases a band of quillwork with a simple brown, orange, and yellow design set against a white background. It is edged with tiny navy Czech glass beads. The top edge of the band is adorned with a row of copper bells. Red, blue, and green ribbons secured with glass trade beads hang from each side of the band.

To the back of the headdress, a notched feather balance finished with fluffs stands at the crest of the headpiece.

The headdress is secured with a leather lacing chin strap.
