Description
The beaded geometric design on the flap, body, and strap is the symbol of the Great Lakota Nation. The design features transparent blue and amber Italian glass beads on an opaque Cheyenne pink background. The beadwork is done using the lane/lazy stitch technique.
The flap is also adorned with brass bells and Italian Crow beads; the bottom fringe has been finished with tin cones.
The strap is a comfortable 1 1/2 inches wide and is also decorated with dangles of abalone shells, metal beads, and glass pony beads.
The bag is lined with pink trade cloth and made of commercially tanned elk leather. The back of the bag is signed by the artist.
