Quick Overview
This reproduction of a Native American Oak Bow is for display only.
Description
The bow is oak, the bowstring is real sinew.

Sinew is made from the tendons of an animal, deer, elk and buffalo are the most common types of real sinew.

Once the tendon is dried completely you can tear small strips the size of thread and twist and connect long pieces that would also make a bow string. Sinew is durable; and therefore the preferred material of the Plains Indians.
