Nakoda First Nations artist Helen KeTukla says, "Ribbon shirts are often referred to as 'The Indian Tuxedo' by my fellow tribesmen".
Her contemporary style shirts are made to be worn anywhere, whether as regalia or street wear. Her exclusive ribbon designs reflect not only tradition, but beautiful colors as well.
The pattern she uses has been in her family since 1951. She says over the years it has been refined to improve fit and workmanship - slightly tapered for a superior fit, reinforced stress points, finished seams, and interfaced collars, cuffs, and facings.
