Dance Sticks

Traditionally used by braves and warriors as they danced during tribal ceremonies, dance sticks once symbolized the power of a warrior.

There were many different kinds of dance sticks that often represented the Native American warrior's power in the form of an animal - thunder birds, elk, deer, bear, and horses.

Dance sticks are typically made of wood and adorned with animal hides and furs, beadwork, trade cloth, and leather fringe.
