Jhon Goes In Center

Tribe: Oglala | Lakota

Jhon Goes In Center is a Native American jewelry designer who beautifully incorporates Sterling Silver and rare agates, as well as other semi-precious stones in his unique, custom jewelry.

While pursuing his degree in Museum Studies at the University of Colorado in 1974, this American Indian artist was exposed to tools of the trade as well as space and time to work at the Henderson Museum restoration and preservation laboratories. Goes in Center attributes much of the inspiration for his jewelry to this historical experience.

After his careful study of Plains Indian silverwork, he firmly believes this unique craft style is an inherent skill of his Native American ancestors - blending the new materials and techniques within the traditional Lakota way of life.

Goes In Center is an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota tribe, Pute' Tiospaye, on the Pine Ridge Indian reservation in South Dakota.
