Charles & Hazel Fast Horse

Tribe: Oglala | Lakota Wintun | CA

From the intricate beadwork found in their traditional Native American clothing, ceremonial buffalo robes, and tribal dress, to the exquisite detail of their cradleboards, shields, bags, purses, and weapons, American Indian artists, Charles & Hazel Fast Horse, work together in virtually every medium.

This Native American artistic couple produces artwork possessing a strong spiritual quality; their resulting pieces are a testimony to the proud Lakota Sioux tradition.

Charles is a self-taught artist, historian, and medicine man. He and Hazel are originally from the Pine Ridge Reservation, and members of the Oglala Lakota Native American tribe. They currently reside in Redding, California.
