Description
In Plains Indian culture, the eagle feather carries special significance, and it was given as a reward to young warriors that proved successful in enemy horse raids and coups. The most accomplished men would earn many feathers and would fashion their collection into elaborate headdresses.
The “Large Wrapped Feather,” by Patty Eckman, is a limited edition cast paper sculpture depicts an exquisitely detailed feather wrapped with leather at the tip, ready to be attached to a headdress.
