Description
Between 1832-34 Karl Bodmer accompanied Prince Maximlian to the upper Missouri country. This book 359 of Bodmer's drawings and illustrations. 257 of these are in color. Bodmer is only rivaled by the drwaings of George Catlin in their coverage of all things related to the early west. Bodmer's drawings of the Native peoples of the upper missouri are legendary and this books covers all of them.
