Quick Overview
According to Native American tradition, war shirts were generally reserved for those warriors who had proven themselves in combat or had stolen a significant number of horses.

In this spirit, local Lakota Sioux artist Kevin Fast Horse has created a "Yellow Horse" war shirt.
Description
The shirt is made of deer skin and decorated with this Native American artist's trademark beadwork.

Strips of lazy stitch beadwork adorn the chest, back, and shoulders, as well as along the crown of the sleeves.

Within each strip, this American Indian artist has used predominately green Italian beads in a geometric design.

The bibs on both the front and back of this Native American leather shirt are square with horizontal rows of rose white heart beads. Strands of real horse hair (dyed yellow) are anchored by bone discs and secured with brass cones.
