Description
The top of the mask features a magnificent rosette of turkey feathers. The mask is made of commercially tanned hide and stained a soft, lavender hue. The painted geometric design covering the body is done using acrylics in hues of yellow and blue with black outlines.
Turkey feather, pony beads, and tin cone dangles cover the mask body; strips of yellow and blue beadwork and lengths of yellow muslin decorate the bottom edge. Dangles of leather lacing and glass beads hang from the chin and back section.
The mask is mounted on a horse skull attached to a wooden stand. The skull is commercially processed.
The wooden stand is decorated with brass tacks, and a painted geometric design.
