Paul Goble
Paul was born in England. He has always been interested in the Native American culture.
As a boy he read the books about Black Elk, the Oglala holy man, which have been instrumental in determining his life's orientation.
First visiting the United States in 1959, he later went on to spend several summers on reservations and eventually moved to the Black Hills in 1977 - he has been adopted into the Lakota and Yakima tribes.
Paul has written and illustrated more than 29 books about traditional aspects of Indian life on the Great Plains. These have been well received, and he has always said he writes and paints to encourage Indian children to be proud of their culture.
His work has received many awards and has been widely exhibited. The books have been translated into 10 languages.
Paul Goble and his wife, Janet, live in Rapid City, South Dakota.
All Paul Goble poster prints are published to museum quality standards using fade-resistant inks on 80# Ikonofix Dull Cover acid-free paper stock. The paper contains 50% recycled material.
