About the author
Allison Adelle Hedge Coke teaches for Man Krudo Summer Arts Program, California State University System. She has co-edited two collections of Native American poetry and writing: Voices of Thunder and It's Not Quiet Anymore.
Hedge Coke grew up in North Carolina, Canada, and on the Great Plains. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Vermont College, attended Naropa Institute, and has an AFA in writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts.
