For centuries, animals such as elk, deer, and especially buffalo provided Native Americans with all they needed for daily life. The American Indian people rarely wasted any part of the animal using it for food, shelter, clothing, weapons as well as a canvas to create their art.
Many of the robes and hides featured utilize the traditional Native American beadwork and stitching. Each piece of American Indian art also depicts symbols and images significant to the Plains Indians.
