Description
The upper part of the moccasin is created using tanned gold colored elk hide. This is sewn to a latigo leather sole, smooth side out. In between the gold leather upper and the tooling leather is a welt of leather to help keep out dirt. The cuff of the moccasin is rolled over and tacked down with a leather thong for tying the moccasin at the ankle.
The beadwork design is amazing, there are flags, four direction symbols, lodge designs and the Vietnam Veteran Service ribbon design with an added feather. The background color is dark turquoise blue and the design is created using red, white, dark blue, yellow, green, gold and silver beads.
