Quick Overview
Lakota Sioux artist Jim Little Wounded acknowledges the gifts from the buffalo on this decorative gourd. The Buffalo Nation provided food, shelter, and medicine for the tribes of the Northern Plains.
Description
The opening, shaped like a buffalo skull, features an outlined design highlighting the spirit power associated with the Buffalo Nation.

Buffalo bulls are seen running around the outside of the gourd. Finishing touches include a painted interior and a Four Directions design painted on the exterior bottom of the bowl.
