Quick Overview
A beautiful representation of Native craft before European contact, this buffalo bone rattle is made of materials found in the natural world - buffalo bone, deer dew claws, and sinew.
Description
The handle of the rattle is that of a buffalo bone. It is broken off at the tip and wrapped with leather. The top or "rattle" is made of deer dew claws tied to the bone using sinew.

One of the most interesting, beautiful things about this rattle is it is not made of or decorated with any man made materials like glass beads or metal. It is a piece that one may have seen in the hand of a Native warrior long, long ago before the arrival of settlers.
