Description
In the crafting of this piece, Kevin begins with gold elk leather and fashions it into the shape of a shirt. For the decoration of this piece, Kevin adds strips of intricate beadwork on the shoulders and arms.
He utilizes the lane/lazy stitch beadwork technique using rare Italian rose white heart beads. Within the strips of beadwork, Kevin incorporates traditional geometric designs representing the “Great Sioux Nation” and incorporates bear paws representing this warrior’s medicine or power.
As a finishing touch, he adds fringe and a beadwork bib in the historical style.
